Scenes from "Country Life!"

We have just arrived home in Milton after our wonderful Annual Summer Outing. This year, a good number of our Members, their friends and guests, were treated to a guided tour of "The Buckinghamshire Chilterns". This was led by Barbara Askew, our Blue Badge Guide from City & Village Tours, who run this trip as part of their varied programme. Glorious weather followed us for most of the day and even found the majority of our party enjoying a lunch outside the excellent "Hit or Miss" pub in Penn Street near Amersham. This tour, through beautiful scenery, made famous by the likes of Benjamin Disraeli at Hughenden, a succession of Prime Ministers at Chequer's, and "Midsommer Murders", were bought to life by Barbara and we even spotted several Red Kites soaring over us when at Jordan's Quaker Meeting House near Beaconsfield. Our afternoon refreshments were taken here, preceded by a talk in the very tranquil Meeting House.

Now, where can we go next year??

Here are a few photos taken during the day.............
