Today, the sun was shining, the river was calm and eight intrepid cyclist members of our WI arrived at Baits Bite Lock, Milton for the "Join in Anytime Bicycle Ride"
We headed out along Fen Rivers Way towards Waterbeach for a customary refreshment stop at The Bridge Hotel at Clayhithe. Sitting outside with our coffee and biscuits, we were soon joined by our President, Gill. We chatted to another customer, Sally, who had walked from Milton, who we hope might join our happy group sometime!
At midday, we set off to head back along the riverside towards our village and then headed into Cambridge, where we enjoyed lunch (along with a great deal of talking and laughter!) at The Green Dragon in Water Street, Chesterton.
It all started off rather quietly........
Our "Chariots of Fire" then headed home in different directions, after a great day out.
Along the route, a bypasser commented "Is this the Tour de France?"
"No, just the lovely ladies of Milton WI!"
