MILTON WI

WELCOME! You have reached the information pages for the
Women's Institute for Milton, near Cambridge UK.

Here you will find dates of our Monthly Meetings, most of which include guest speakers. We also offer a wide choice of planned activities such as lunches, walks, darts, an annual summer outing, cinema or theatre visits, bowls and more. Take a look, you may be really surprised!

There has been a WI in Milton for many years - we celebrated our 90th birthday in 2015 - and members, past and present, have contributed much to our local community. We are very keen to welcome new friends of all ages to our Monthly Meetings!

In addition, details of a broad range of events, outings and day schools organised by the Cambridge Federation of Women's Institutes are always on display at our Monthly Meetings.

For general information on the WI, click here for a link to the National Federation of Women's Institutes where you will also find details of courses available at Denman College. This is the WI's home of creativity in Oxfordshire and offers over 600 courses – either residential or day schools - which are open to all
WI members and non-members, men and women, and students of all ages.

Have you ever thought..."why should I join the WI?" Well, just click on the titles below or better still, come along as a guest to one of our meetings...you will be most welcome!

How does that song go....??

"Little Boxes, Little Boxes, all made out of Ticky Tacky"

We welcomed Barbara Redman at our meeting on Tuesday 15 November. This was Barbara's second visit as guest speaker - last year she bought along all of the materials to enable us to make wonderful Christmas baubles, even the less crafty members took home a beautiful, coloured tree decoration. This time, we all produced boxes for Christmas gifts. Some of Barbara's own beautiful designs were on display and for sale at the meeting, along with our usual, well supported "Bring & Buy" table.

The box opens to reveal a gift!
