MILTON WI

WELCOME! You have reached the information pages for the
Women's Institute for Milton, near Cambridge UK.

Here you will find dates of our Monthly Meetings, most of which include guest speakers. We also offer a wide choice of planned activities such as lunches, walks, darts, an annual summer outing, cinema or theatre visits, bowls and more. Take a look, you may be really surprised!

There has been a WI in Milton for many years - we celebrated our 90th birthday in 2015 - and members, past and present, have contributed much to our local community. We are very keen to welcome new friends of all ages to our Monthly Meetings!

In addition, details of a broad range of events, outings and day schools organised by the Cambridge Federation of Women's Institutes are always on display at our Monthly Meetings.

For general information on the WI, click here for a link to the National Federation of Women's Institutes where you will also find details of courses available at Denman College. This is the WI's home of creativity in Oxfordshire and offers over 600 courses – either residential or day schools - which are open to all
WI members and non-members, men and women, and students of all ages.

Have you ever thought..."why should I join the WI?" Well, just click on the titles below or better still, come along as a guest to one of our meetings...you will be most welcome!

Thanks Everyone!

We held a Bring & Buy Breakfast this morning at Milton Park Golf Club and raised a total of £115.35 for our chosen local charity for 2012 -  Cam Sight.

As usual, this event provided plenty of time to catch up over our excellent cooked breakfast and we all had plenty of time to view a good number of items for sale. There was a choice of home made cakes and biscuits which hardly touched the table before they were snapped up! We also had a clothes rail, bric-a-brac, and a huge selection of books.

Our thanks go to our wonderful members for donating all the items for sale and giving so generously to this fundraising effort.

"Cam Sight relies on personal & financial support.
Supports people with visual impairment & their families to maintain independence & quality of life.
Works to prevent avoidable sight loss & raise awareness of the reality of living with sight difficulties.
Donations would support their Centenary Appeal to redesign their building & add a Technology Centre of Excellence for Cambridge"
For further information on this very worthwhile appeal, click here.

May we also give a huge thanks to John, Paul and Jane who made us all feel so welcome today at Milton Park Golf Club.
